MEDIA ADVISORY – October 24, 2016 – The 150Alliance is pleased to announce the next stop on their cross-country tour in Edmonton, Alberta on Wednesday, October 25, 2016.
This exciting event will take place from 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Old Timers Cabin (9430-99 Street NW, Edmonton, AB). The afternoon will include round table discussions, networking opportunities and a showcase featuring local and national projects that will happen next year to mark Canada’s 150th.
The 2017 showcase will include presentations from the Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society, River Valley Alliance, and the Canadian Arctic Aviation Tour 2017. We’ll also hear from core members of the 150Alliance including Canadian Heritage, the Edmonton Community Foundation, CBC/Radio-Canada and Parks Canada. The working part of the day will conclude with a networking reception from 4:00 p.m. onwards.
All audiences are welcome – from groups who are ready to launch their Canada 150 plans to those who are just getting started. Media, government, companies and other stakeholders are also welcome to attend any part of the event for a chance to hear what’s being planned across the country for Canada’s sesquicentennial.
