What are your 3 Things for Canada?Friday, January 27th, 2017 | David Venn
Imagine if every Canadian did three things for their community, their country, and the world this year.
For Canada’s 150th, Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi and his Civic Engagement Committee are challenging people to contribute 3 Things for Canada.
Just ask yourself: What am I passionate about? What can I do to help? Your “things” could be as simple as shoveling a neighbour’s sidewalk or as involved as volunteering for a nonprofit organization.
Here’s how to take part in the campaign:
- Upload a video, photo, or simply write a post on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram about one of your 3 Things.
- Challenge three of your friends to share their #3ThingsforCanada by tagging them on your social media post and ask them to challenge three friends of their own.
- Post your challenge to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram (or all three!) using the hashtag #3ThingsforCanada with a link to the website at www.threethingsforcanada.ca.
Join thousands of Canadians from across the country this week as we come together and contribute acts both large and small to build a country where we all belong.
