Benjamin Moore’s Giving Moore Foundation Announces Recipients of 2014 Grants For Community Improvement Projects in Canada

Anniversary grants celebrate 15 years of giving to Canadian communities

(Montreal, QC) November 13, 2014 – The Giving Moore Foundation, the foundation of Benjamin Moore & Co., today announced the first of five anniversary grants that will contribute a total of $75,000 in financial support and up to $25,000 in donated paint to community projects across Canada. The 2014 grants celebrate a 15-year partnership between Benjamin Moore and Community Foundations of Canada. Over the coming weeks five grants will be announced to assist with a wide range of important renovation and heritage restoration projects in communities across the country.

This year’s grants are being awarded to the following groups. Details will be announced at local
events.

  • Edmonton, AB: E4C
  • Hamilton, ON: The Workers Arts and Heritage Centre
  • Montreal, QC: Centre des femmes de Montréal-Women’s Centre of Montréal
  • Toronto, ON: East Scarborough Storefront
  • Vancouver, BC: Cedar Cottage Neighbourhood House

Since its inception in 1999, the Benjamin Moore partnership has supported more than 243 community groups in all parts of Canada with grants of more than $746,000 and $179,000 in paint donations.
