Renu Kapoor

Regina, Saskatchewan

Renu Kapoor was born, raised and educated in India. She moved to Regina in 1965 and has since been involved with the Regina community. She has worked with mental health and addiction services for over 40 years in the United States and Canada.

Ms. Kapoor has been a consultant since 1997 and has worked with several companies offering employee assistance programs. She has conducted assertiveness training and stress management workshops for different organizations, including the Saskatchewan Teachers Federation. She has supervised graduate and undergraduate interns from the University of Regina’s Faculty of Social Work and Psychology for over 30 years.

Ms. Kapoor is a long-standing and devoted community volunteer in Regina, serving on the South Saskatchewan Community Foundation board for 6 years as well as serving on national volunteer boards. She has won many awards for her volunteer work and is also the recipient of both the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal for her outstanding contribution to public life.
