150Alliance

Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation is a transformative moment in our history with the power to bring people and places together. It’s an opportunity to dream big and imagine what our communities and our country could be for generations to come.

2015-01-23 150Alliance-0342Kickstarted by Community Foundations of Canada, the 150Alliance is an open network of individuals and organizations mobilizing around 2017.

What started with 2017 Starts Now, a series of nationwide conversations co-presented with CBC/Radio-Canada and VIA Rail Canada, is now a pan-Canadian effort to encourage engagement and action in Canada’s sesquicentennial.

Together with support from the federal government’s Canada 150 Secretariat, the 150Alliance is reaching out to organizations and partners from communities across the country so they can collaborate, learn from one another and increase engagement and impact.

150alliance.ca will catalogue all 2017 activity, building the largest database of organizations, projects and events connected to Canada’s 150th, and allowing groups to create their own 2017 collaboration spaces online.
