Lydia Sadiq is a public affairs and communications professional located in Edmonton, Alberta.
She is a community builder who believes in fostering connection and understanding one conversation at a time. Her advocacy work has focused on building accessible and equitable healthcare and education systems in Alberta.
Her first-generation outlook, passion for travel, and childhood spent in three countries spanning two continents have shaped her into a global citizen.
She is a fundholder and former board member for the Northwestern Alberta Foundation and has nearly 15 years of governance experience. Lydia is currently the Manager of Corporate Communications at Explore Edmonton, where she tells the corporate story to stakeholders and visitors alike.
Previously, Lydia worked in the government sector with experience spanning a variety of portfolios such as economic development, infrastructure, equity, and emergency/crisis response. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communications and a Business Administration Diploma in Marketing.
