About Danbi Cho

Danbi currently serves as the Lead of Impact Canada at the Mastercard Foundation, where he drives strategic initiatives focused on creating positive systems change to benefit Indigenous youth and communities. 

Danbi is of Mi’kmaw/Chinese ancestry and a proud member of the Miawpukek First Nation located in Conne River, Newfoundland. Danbi holds an Honours bachelor’s degree in public administration and governance from Toronto Metropolitan University. 

His recognition as a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council award recipient further exemplifies his dedication to academic excellence. This recognition underscores his commitment to setting new directions to support Indigenous research and evaluation. With a strong background in strategy, research, evaluation, policy advocacy and government and Indigenous relations, Danbi has honed his skills over a decade of working with and for Indigenous peoples in diverse settings, including urban, northern, remote, and international communities.
