Vital Signs is Canada’s most extensive community-driven data program. Spearheaded by Community Foundations of Canada and led by community foundations in Canada and around the world, the program uses local knowledge to measure the vitality of a community and support action towards improving collective quality of life.

The Clayoquot Biosphere Trust (CBT) is a registered charity based on the west coast of British Columbia, Canada. The organization’s many initiatives – from food security to youth empowerment – all strive towards creating a sustainable, healthy community with a diversified economy, and strong, vibrant, and united cultures, while embracing the nuučaan̓uł First Nations living philosophies of iisaak (respecting), qʷaaʔakqin tiičmis (it is how we live; it is our culture), and hišukʔiš c̓awaak (everything is one).

Established in 2000, CBT is the only organization in Canada that is both a Community Foundation and a UNESCO biosphere.

The County Foundation is a local charity in Prince Edward County that aims to create a vibrant and inclusive community. Their Vital Signs data identifies the needs in the County, which they then use to direct donations where they can have the greatest impact on their community’s well-being.
