This winter and spring, CFC is focused on action — staying connected across the network and turning that connection into change. This work is building toward our next full-network gathering in Winnipeg, June 1–3, 2027.

Here’s what’s coming up

Strong community foundations are built through relationships — learning from peers, strengthening leadership, and working across roles, regions, and lived realities. The opportunities below are designed to support that work in practical ways.

Peer Mentorship Program (New)
Launching in March 2026, this six-month program connects staff seeking mentorship with experienced peers from across the network. The focus is practical learning grounded in day-to-day leadership work. Learn more and register today.

Learning Lab – Coming This Spring
This April, we’re launching a four-part series focused on practical, hands-on approaches to shifting capital in service of communities.

Through experiential learning and peer exchange, participants will explore responsible investment, social finance tools, and emerging opportunities for collaborative action among community foundations. The series is designed to surface actionable strategies and shared learning that can help mobilize assets and align capital more intentionally with community impact across Canada.

This work will also help shape and inform programming for our 2027 national conference, building momentum toward deeper network-wide action.

Watch for details in March, with registration opening in April 2026.

Winter and Spring 2026 are about putting ideas into practice and strengthening leadership across the network. If you can’t make an event, don’t worry. We will circulate both recordings and a written transcript available post-event. Winnipeg 2027 will be a moment to pause and share what we’re learning.
