The Emergency Community Support Fund (ECSF) accepted applications from in Round 1 from May 19 until July 27, 2020 and in Round 2 from October 5 to October 30.
Community foundations across the country, alongside the Community Foundations of Canada team, reviewed and approved grants at a rapid rate to respond to the pandemic. The need for emergency response to COVID-19 is significant. In communities across Canada, the demand for the ECSF activated through Community Foundations of Canada has exceeded the funds available.

Granting Breakdown Based on Groups Experiencing Vulnerability
When submitting an application, applicants were required to indicate up to three groups that would be supported through their work. The below visualization breaks down the primary groups selected for funding, but many projects serve more than one group.
