REDI+-driven training and initiatives must involve innovative change and culture shifts in policies, processes, and practices. A diverse workplace is all-inclusive, and it recognizes each individual and group as part of diversity to be valued. Led by Ruth Mojeed Ramirez, the Chief Equity Officer at the Inclusion Project, this session will discuss how organizations are using diversity and sensitivity training for knowledge and capacity development, yet never measuring the impact of this training. While sensitivity training is beneficial, there is no guarantee that its effects will last after the training ends and becomes practice in the organization.
In this session, you will:
- Learn how to evaluate REDI+ training and capacity building for effectiveness
- Discuss building with intentionality, avoiding tokenism, and developing a REDI+ strategy for improving workplace culture
- Identify appropriate learning resources
This session is available to any member of the public.
