Community foundations play a vital role in providing immediate relief, long-term recovery, and ongoing support during these challenging times. Join Roger Parenteau, Executive Director of the Shuswap Community Foundation and Daniel Holland, CEO of the Community Foundation of Nova Scotia, as they share how they lead through emergency relief efforts and reflect on lessons learned. This session is designed for community foundation leaders, staff, and board members to discover how they can be effective responders during crises.

In this session, you will:

  • Hear how Roger and Daniel effectively responded to natural disasters and emergencies
  • Explore the importance of building partnerships and collaborations with local organizations, emergency services, and other stakeholders to maximize your impact
  • Discuss strategies for mobilizing funds and resources to support relief efforts, recovery, and community resilience
