Local and rural media have a critical role in sharing the impact of community foundations. Join us as we explore how guides and templates can give community foundations the tools they need to build and pitch stories. This session is specifically designed for rural and small-town media relations. 

In this practical, interactive session, we will be explaining the process and ways of working with local and rural media. We’ll also walk through the principles of writing press releases and how to pitch stories and engage with media. There will also be an opportunity to learn from the media relations strategies of other community foundations. 

In this session, you will learn:

  • How local and rural media operate and work
  • What template and guidance to follow when working with media
