Haley is a ‘big picture’ thinker with experience in social and environmental impact and governance/policy. She believes that compassion for both people and the environment are synonymous, which guides her life’s journey. She leads from the heart and is passionate about working to ensure that we all feel a sense of belonging in this world.
Time spent in Colombia has shown her the resilience of community and just how impactful it is when everyone is working together for a better future. This is why she is excited to be part of a team that is passionate about strengthening inclusive and sustainable communities.
Haley holds a Diploma in Environmental Protection Technology and a BSc in Environmental Science from Royal Roads University on beautiful Vancouver Island, where she presently calls home. Before joining CFC, Haley worked with YZED Projects, a Yukon-based social innovation company, where she engaged her holistic perspective to support the operations of impact-driven nonprofits.
Haley loves to create spaces for discovery and connection between people and is excited to bring this to the team. As Project Officer of the Healthy Communities Initiative, she will serve as a resource and bridge between community foundations and CFC.
Away from the desk, you can find her scooting around town on her bike, savouring a strong cup of coffee or hiking mountains on the wild wet coast.
