Judy (she/elle/هي) is an organizer, researcher and advocate who values the importance of community and belonging. As a third culture kid of Lebanese descent, Judy has lived in various places around the world, immersing herself in diverse cultures and embracing the beauty in difference. This experience taught her to foster meaningful relationships and friendships that transcend time and space as a powerful tool of community-building.
Judy moved to the unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabe Peoples (Ottawa) to complete her Bachelor’s at the University of Ottawa and Master’s at Carleton University. By investing in her personal, academic, and professional development, Judy discovered her passion for operations, governance, and project coordination. With a background in social sciences and arts, she is dedicated to using her expertise intentionally to drive transformative, positive change.
In her free time, Judy loves to immerse herself in nature and take her cat, Koda, on adventures. She loves to hike, swim, go camping, practice yoga, and bike around the city. She also loves to learn new skills and start new projects that engage her artistic side, such as crafting, writing, baking, and drawing.
