Since completing an undergraduate degree in Physical and Health Education, Laura’s path has been wonderfully non-linear. From tree-planting, growing vegetables, living out of a van, and working in remote mountain lodges- both in Canada and abroad- Laura has witnessed first-hand the power of community and its ability to harness resilience and nourishment.
With a keen interest in dismantling intersecting barriers to health (for both people and the planet), Laura took a post-graduate program in Communications and Professional Writing with the goal of acquiring tools to help her build more accessible community resources and voice textured stories.
Laura has contributed to various non-profit organizations, and before CFC she worked for The National Farmers Union of Ontario.
Laura loves to hold space for creativity and collaboration and is thrilled to be part of the CFC team. When she’s not working or putting off her Italian lessons, she is likely in the garden, reading about food justice, hiking, camping, or stitching.
