About Megan Ip

Megan is a communications leader with experience across government, technology, and the nonprofit sector. She began her career as a political staffer in Québec and worked at a public relations firm before moving to Toronto in 2018. Fluent in French, English, and Chinese, with basic proficiency in Spanish and German, she brings a deep appreciation for language and cross-cultural engagement to her work.

She has led global campaigns that consistently highlight Canadian voices and perspectives, and is a proud cheerleader for all things Canadian, at home and abroad. Prior to joining the CFC, Megan led communications and marketing at the Empire Club of Canada, the century-old and iconic forum for public discourse in Toronto.

Outside of communications, Megan has a strong interest in tech – particularly responsible and ethical AI, data privacy, cybersecurity, and how technology continues to shape society. She has a background in law and public policy and holds a Communications degree from McGill University in Montréal.

When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, trying new things and staying busy.
