Sara has been with Canada’s community foundation movement, locally and with Community Foundations of Canada for more than a decade, working before that in politics and urban issues. Over her years with CFC, Sara has been a lead cultivator of many of our efforts to bring community foundations together for impact, such as through the Community Foundations and the Environment program and Vital Signs.
Sara is a founding Board member of The Circle on Philanthropy and Aboriginal Peoples in Canada and was previously on the Board of Ottawa’s Centretown Community Health Centre where she was active in drafting a local food action plan.
Sara enjoys cooking and spending time with friends. Her two little girls keep her very busy, but she does sometimes get out for long rides with her urban cycling group.
Sara leads many of CFC’s strategic initiatives, including opportunities to support youth, impact investing and work with Indigenous communities.
