All boards have a culture — whether it is intentionally shaped or left to emerge. This workshop explores how governance culture influences board and management behaviour, and how leaders can actively design, support, and steward a culture that strengthens effectiveness, trust, and decision-making. Join fellow board members and leaders in thoughtful conversation to strengthen the ways with which your Community foundation leads and governs. This highly participatory session will support leaders in exploring what culture is in an organization and a board. This session is a continuation of the Fall 2025 Board Trust, Conflict and Conflict Resolution’ by Ozone but attending that is not a prerequisite for this.
In this session, participants will:
- Learn how to set the right culture for your board and the impact of culture
- Define rules of engagement for your board
- Techniques to manage the desired board culture and deal with behavioural challenges
Presenter: Darren Rawson, P.Eng., ICD.D, GCB.D, Co-Founder and Principal at Ozone Advisory Group.
