Today, Community Foundations of Canada launched registration for the biennial community foundations conference – RECONNECT 2023. RECONNECT 2023 will take place in Tkaronto | Toronto on June 1 and 2, 2023. Community Foundations of Canada is working alongside the Toronto Foundation, which is acting as the host community foundation for RECONNECT 2023.  Registration is currently available exclusively to those community foundations that are part of the Community Foundations of Canada network. Registration will open to the general public on February 15, 2023. 

RECONNECT 2023  is a bilingual conference welcoming community foundations, partners and nonprofit leaders worldwide. It features a pre-conference virtual session and a multi-day, in-person conference experience that includes active learning sessions, connection spaces, whole group gatherings and optional off-site community experiences. RECONNECT 2023 is the only conference specifically tailored for Canadian community foundations and is the largest philanthropic gathering in Canada. 

As our communities recover and heal from the pandemic, connection is key. At RECONNECT 2023, we will build personal connections to fill up our energy and return to our work with renewed purpose. We will rethink our practices and explore possibilities to better serve community. And we will have the chance to reimagine the future of philanthropy. This is a challenge and an opportunity. Registration

The registration fee includes access to sessions, breakfast and lunch, evening reception and some entertainment, and a $25 carbon offset fee. Here is a breakdown of the registration fees: 

• Conference Registration, CFC Member: $1,025
• Early Bird Conference Registration, Non-CFC Member (ends: March 31, 2023): $1,225
• Conference Registration, Non-CFC Member: $1,375

Please note that there are no group rates.  This is to ensure equity with smaller community foundations and provide the lowest possible registration fee for all. If space allows, Day Passes will be available on May 1, 2023.

Accommodation 

We are gathering on the beautiful waterfront of Tkaronto | Toronto at the Westin Harbour Castle.  We have secured member rates for guest room rates starting at CDN $289 plus tax.  We anticipate rooms will fill up quickly, so please book your hotel stay as soon as possible. Bursaries 

We are grateful for the support of many foundations to make RECONNECT 2023 accessible to the entire network of community foundations and international participants. Bursary applications are currently being evaluated with equity and accessibility considerations. Bursary applicants will receive notification by February 15, 2023.
