Its goal is to help social purpose organizations build their capacity to participate in Canada’s growing social finance market and prepare themselves to be able to take on investments. IRP is currently open for an additional round of applications for thanks to the renewed $50 million investment from the Government of Canada. The IRP is supporting social purpose organizations as they recovery from the pandemic and build more resilient communities for the future.
To best serve the diversity of communities, a variety of organizations work within the Investment Readiness Program ecosystem. Community Foundations of Canada is proud to serve as one of the IRP’s national funding intermediaries, and CFC is collaborating with regional partners across the country to award IRP funding. CFC is also working alongside the Foundation for Black Communities (FFBC), and Black-led or Black-serving social purpose organizations are able to apply to both CFC and FFBC through the online application portal.
CFC’s IRP intake period is now closed. Results to come in Winter 2023.
